The Buffalo Concussion Treadmill Test is a new method of measuring the concussed athlete’s physical response to exercise. The Test helps determine the likely speed of recovery from a concussion and how best to use a progressive exercise program to assist with that recovery. Developed by a team of researchers at the University of Buffalo, the BCTT is now available at the Center for Neurorehabilitation Services as one component of its comprehensive evaluation of concussion and its management. When used in conjunction with a thorough diagnostic evaluation, the BCTT provides an additional measure of progress and recovery of concussions.
