The cost for the fundraiser is $50 per person which includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, dessert and a glass of wine or beer. A portion of the ticket price is tax deductible. Also, available for purchase are flights of wine or beer. Space is limited to 75 people. Tickets can be purchased at Crater Community Hospice’s office located at 3916 S. Crater Rd. in Petersburg during operating hours or call (804) 526-4300 to charge by phone.
The Daisy Fund was created after the passing of our own 4-legged office mascot, Daisy. “We decided to honor this much loved member of our team by continuing one of the projects she particularly enjoyed. She enjoyed being there for those who are feeling a little down or need a loyal friend. We started the fund to make sure the loyal friends of our patients can be there with them as long as they are needed,” said Tracy Taliaferro, CEO of Crater Community Hospice. “The fund provides a special treat, a toy, veterinarian care, or maybe a short stay at the kennel while their human is receiving much needed respite care,” said Taliaferro.
Started by John Randolph and Southside Regional Medical Centers as the only non-profit hospice to serve the Southside Virginia area, Crater Community Hospice depends upon the giving of our community to support unfunded programs and services.
